7 Deadly Gummy Sins

These photographs were created by Wiedmaier and released under a limited CC license. Update: For you BB visitors, the Gummy Bears were not created by me–check out Wiedmaier’s Flickr streams. Unfortunately, it seems to be down right now…

To Elliott Back
I was wondering weather you could allow me to use your work in my school photography project as initial ideas and in my display book. Also any information you have about your project like inspiration that you can send me would be greatly appreciated
From Daniel Knight

I didn’t realize when I was coming to this site that there would be explicit (gummy bear) ***. Perhaps you should warn people. Some of us surf at work, you know!
hehe awww love the way u did the sins
very imaginative
LOL!!! SOOO HILARIOUS!! AGAIN, AGAIN!!!
what is a limited CC licence… does this licence allow for the use of these images in other medias (specifically ones that will be broadcast, like a different website, a blog, a book etc?)
This is AWESOME!!!!
I love it!
Sloth, greed is also known as avarice, and is not the same as gluttony. Wrath is referred to as anger in this representation.
I like it a whole lot but aren’t greed and gluttony the same thing? Where is wrath?
That was cute. I love gummy sin’s. lol
[...] I’m writing this post on a Mac. I have no idea what kind of Mac. It’s got a picture of an apple on the front. I think they all do. The reason I’m writing it on a Mac is because my son takes a Saturday art class at CCAD, where I also teach a History of Advertising course one night a week. Since I’m on faculty, I figured out that I can log in on the Macs that the students use in the computer lab right next to where Dan’s class is. It’s a 2.5 hour class. So rather than drive the half-hour downtown, find something useless to do for 1.5 hours, and then turn around and come back… I can log onto a Mac and find something useless to do online. Like this. It would have been funnier if it had been real bears.
Cute! This made my day.
I thought it was kind of cute, in the gummy bear style…I mean, some down-to-earth and what some people call “realistic” people might not like it, but I enjoyed it, because it was humorous.
The way the gummy bears were positioned very much represented the captions, and I think my favorite was probably pride and envy. They were so adorable (though envy might’ve looked evil to some people).
elliottback! ur site made it on 9.yahoo.com!
Too funny….

Sloth needs to be a little less squished looking, I assume you didn’t intend for him to be in pain. : |
Very cute apart from that, I love envy. : )
very cute!
‘released under license’?
these days on the internet people are somehow genius if they arrainge food on their plate, or look into a sky and see horses in clouds.
next time i draw ‘clean me’ in the dust on my car bumper i’ll photograph it and put it in my flicker stream to enlighten the art-hungry masses.
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo……….
i like it a lot! i think pride is my favorite. although lust is a very close second!

Gummi Bears depicting the 7 Deadly Sins…

This is really impressive work. I wonder if an animation of these 7 pics might work well.
I love your interpretation of the 7 deadly sins. It’s so creative and beautifully photographed. Thanks for the smile at the beginning of my day.
Hey I love the pics they are so adorable!
I hope you are joking. Any artful representation of the 7 deadly sins is certainly safe for work, no matter how explicit it is. I think the current post on your blog is an indication you jest
