All the snow has gone

Posted in Cornell University by Elliott Back on February 6th, 2005.

All the snow has melted. Well, not all of the snow, but rather enough of the snow. There is now sufficient clear space to walk to Tops to buy a Coca Cola to keep myself awake without soaking my shoes and freezing my feet. Drivers, for example, can now park on the street without getting stuck. And, the abundance of mud that made Ithaca feel like a prehistoric mudflat, resplendent in dinosaurs, has dried up! I now feel warm again…

I am referring indeed to Coca Cola, though I think writing Coke is so much easier and natural. Lowercase “coke” is an entirely different thing…

I wish I could say the same down here in Kingston. Aside from the beautiful weather you still need a strategic plan for walking around. Lots of mud and DEEP puddles. ps. I do hope your refering to the cola. (im sure you are) :)
