Amazon.com: Save 10% off $1000
I saw this on Fatwallet earlier this week, but today I got the following email from Amazon.com, offering me a great coupon:
As a valued customer who has purchased items in our Electronics Store, we thought you might be interested in this great offer. We’ll send you an Amazon.com promotional certificate for $50 or $100 when you spend from $500 to $1,000 or more on these products or other electronics offered by Amazon.com. Hurry, this offer only lasts through March 13, 2005.
Granted, saving %10 off your order of $500 or more is a great promotion–but only for people planning to buy something $500 or more in the next week. As a full time University student, I spend my time studying and doing homework, not buying expensive things online. And as a student, the deal is not as good as my educational discounts. For example, to get an iPod at 10% off, I’d have to buy two of them. If I buy them directly from Apple, I get a 10% student discount–and I only have to buy one.
Still, if you’re the kind of customer who can afford regular $500+ electronics purchases, or have been thinking of buying some servers or a laptop, this might be for you!
