Because damn well they are trying to take childhood away. Maybe that's one of the things that's never exisited, but us Americans always believed in: childhood. School starts closer together, requiring more and more time but requiring less and less actual thinking, the whole American School system is doomed. Learning isn't what school is about. School is about brainwashing people to be sheep, so they don't become voters, so they don't start thinking for themselves. Yes, me and "Lil' Bow Wow" were born in the same year. Amazing. Yeah.
