American will not face court-martial
This is old news, but the American fighter pilots that mistakenly bombed four Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan last year will not face court martial: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3004644.stm. Facing possible sentences of more than 60 years in prison, with “reckless disregard for flight rules” demonstrated, they were let off the hook by Lieutenant General Bruce Carlson, of the Air Force.

Those men died because those responsible acted on instinct rather than procedure. They saw fire on the ground, they thought they were being shot at when instead the men on the ground were soldiers on a training exercise. They did not report the incident back to HQ. They disregarded procedure. People died.
When people die because you did not follow your duties, you should be held accountable.
Invading Afghanistan 10 Billion Dollars
Dropping bombs on allies … priceless …
If the American soldiers that murdered a Spanish journalist early in the beginning of the invasion of Irak have not even been questioned or suspended, I don’t have much faith in the disiplinary systemof the American military.
