Collegetown Creeper Caught!!
The Ithaca Police Department reports early this morning that a man identified as the Collegetown Creeper has been arrested. Abraham J. Shorey, who is married with children and works at a Collegetown restaurant (The Nines), was sent to Tompkins County Jail Wednesday after failing to raise $5000 bail.
The “Collegetown Creeper,” as Cornell students have nicknamed him, started his crime spree by entering the apartments of female Cornell students at night and watching them sleep before fleeing. Over the past year, his crimes have escalated from entering to breaking and watching to assaulting. Now that he is caught, collegetown can rest in peace.
Strangley, the Ithaca Police deny public access to Creeper/Shorey related documents. Said Chief Lauren Signer, Ithaca Police:
“We had a recent incident report from a young woman, she claims her clothes were cut off, baby oil was spilled on her. […] The Creeper’s appeared at least 18 times, either inside women’s bedrooms or peering in through their windows.”
What’s interesting is that I’ve seen this man in collegetown. Yes, in my hometown. And his target area often was Catherine street–the one next to mine! I can’t remember where he works, though–if any of YOU can, leave a comment! I’m curious and scared…

Hey he is innocent, I can’t even begin to tell you how he does not even match the desciption of the creeper if you look and do research you would realize this is not the creeper. And he has 6 beautiful children that he loves, there is no way that he would jepordize these little ones. Look at his eyes and see that he is kind. If anyone reads this and knows ABe stand up for him, we need to catch the real creeper!!

Is this even worth responding to? Not really–I think that poorly written comment stands for itself.
There is no indication otherwise, in any media. The Ithaca Police Department has issued a statement that Abraham Shorey is indeed the Collegetown Creeper.
I quote, “The pathetic fallacy is the name given the specious attribution of emotions — which is to say, pathos — to the inanimate.”

I find it interesting that Shorey acknowledges trepass (”Hippie Christmas” as quoted in the Daily Sun) as well as other criminal charges. While he may not be guilty of the creaping, it is obvious that he is guilty of other activities. These individuals create an unsafe environment around the university. They represent a parasitic element that preys on the student body–from robbery to breaking/entering to worse–Shorey is clearly the loser and he should eat the chunky.

He is guiltier than sin. He broke into my sons apartment and attacked his girlfriend while she was asleep. She weighs all of 100 lbs and was able to escape being raped because she bit his finger. He is a low life that should be given the maximum sentence!

Is anyone familiar with a similar case that occured at Ohio State University? Recently, while visiting friends there I had heard rumors of a Campus Crawler or Creeper who supposedly broke into female students rooms and literally “crawled” into bed and slept with them. Interestingly, according to the rumors that I had heard, the perpetrator supposedly made no attempt to harm the victim. It would seem that he simply wanted to sleep with them. Unfortunately these rumors could be exaggerated as my source is hardly reliable.
I am curious to learn more about this strange perversion and any information would be greatly appreciated.
