WP No Pagerank

Posted in Plugins, Spam by Elliott Back on January 19th, 2005.

You’ve probably heard about the new rel=”nofollow” attribute that when added to a link prevents Google from calculating pagerank. This is a perfect accessory method of (a) preserving pagerank on your site, and (b) foiling spammers who get nothing by placing those links.

Introduction:

Therefore, I introduce WP No Pagerank, a plugin that adds rel=”nofollow” tags to all links in your comment text, as well as the author links themselves. This removes the pagerank incentive from your comments, so comment spam becomes useless. For WP 1.2.2 only.

Download:

You can download WP No Pagerank from the plugins repository. It will always have the latest version. Just copy and paste the PHP code for wp-no-pagerank.php into a new .php file, put the file into your wp-content/plugins/ directory, and activate.
