Confused about Song

Posted in Humour by Elliott Back on April 6th, 2005.

I got the following inquery in my email today:

I am flying my 10 daughter Sara ****** on Song/Delta Flt 2075 Bos- RSW on 4/13 returning flt#1988 on 4/23, (confirmation #: ******) . Checking into the paperwork required for an unaccompanied child. Is there a place I can download it or is this handled at the ticket counter. She has flown before by herself but on Song but I can’t recall the details. Thank You

New Direct Dial phone # XXX-XXX-XXXX

At first I was puzzled, but I’ve now decided that someone took my rave review of Song Airlines as an invitation to do official support for the airline. Unfortunately, I am not in any way affiliated with Song / Delta, and now have to write this poor fellow a reply:

It’s nice to hear that you are shipping off your daughter alone into the cold world 30,000 feet above sea level. Make sure to carefully instruct her to wear her safety belt with diligence, bow low to all the flight attends that cross her path, and hum Disney songs quietly to herself. Also have her memorize all of your credit card numbers in case she should be delayed in any airports.

However, I am not affiliated with Song / Delta Airlines in any way, and have no idea why you sent me this email. Please call Song directly at 800-FLY-SONG (800-359-7664) to resolve this matter.

Current mood = amused!
