Google DNS Problems

Posted in Google by Elliott Back on May 8th, 2005.

New.com, OM Malik and others report that Google experienced a 15 minute global DNS outage yesterday, causing a redirect to www.google.com.net instead, which led consumers to believe hacking had taken place. It’s a matter of concern that a company fielding millions of requests per second could go down at all. GOOG prices seem unaffected.
