Medallion Guitars

Posted in Music by Elliott Back on May 14th, 2005.

Probably the stub I created on Wikipedia for Medallion Guitars will be deleted because the company is extinct and not appreciably notable. Therefore, I’ll reproduce the content here. If you’ve owned a medallion guitar, or seen it mentioned in print, please leave a comment so I can collect more information:

Medallion Guitars was a guitar manufacturing company that produced Les Paul knockoffs made from a plywood body construction, a rosewood neck painted to look like ebony or another fine wood, and cheap, no-brand electronics. Their self-named “Medallion” model featured 22 frets, a sunburst paint job, and Grover machine heads. Information about the company can no longer be located on the internet, but it’s possible that older guitar-related text publications contain advertisements and reviews.
