Blog Software and Social Status
I’ve got a few minutes before I have to run and pick up my girlfriend, so here’s a quick thought: Blog software is an indicator of your social standing in the blogosphere. Elegant, brainy types use Typepad, the unwashed masses are Blogger fans, Wordpress is for the uber-hackers, and Movable type is a strange sort of compromise for the elegant, washed hackers.

I wash, but I wouldn’t describe myself as being particularly elegant
I’m so used to MT now that I just don’t want to have to go through all the upheaval in moving to Wordpress (although I have used it before and liked it a lot). It’s just too much effor to have to relearn all those template tags. Maybe I’ll make it a project for the Summer or something…

I wouldn’t exactly describe myself as an uber-hacker either.
If WP users are uber-hackers, I wonder what that would make Textpattern users?

Hey, if you are into contests there is a great contest on YouTube for Valentines Day. The contest is to create a video for the holiday.
