Ploy Preview: How to run your blogging backend
I’m currently working on a project in php that I call Ploy. It’s short for “deploy” and it’s a tool for doing php deployment with customizations. This means that I can have a single codebase for all my blogs, and drop in specific files where I need them, or make a modification to a file. So, I can replace the adsense project_id with the idea across all my sites, drop in different themes and css, all with one click. Need to update wordpress? Drop in the new files and click.

This isn’t a huge innovation, but it’s only a few thousands lines of code, and it will save me countless trouble in the future. Welcome to the age of Ploy.
