Video iPod Real, Coming Soon
There’s a video iPod now, and here’s what it looks like:
Besides offering it in black, they’ve upped the capacity another 20 GB, and have started selling ABC TV shows like “Lost” and music videos through iTunes at $1.99 a pop. You can read the official page yourself. It’s features are:
Holds up to 15,000 songs(2) and full-color album art
60GB model is 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.55 inches
Bright 2.5-inch, 320 x 240 pixel TFT display
Up to 20 hours of battery life
So now we have 2o hours of music, tiny video, and photos. The next logical step would be to increase the size of the screen, or move to a touchscreen, continue improving capacity and battery life, as well as adding either radio or broadcast television options, and some kind of networking.
For more, see Live from the Keynote, The iPod w/ video, this Ars post, and Matt. Rock on, Apple!
Aside: In Chinese, Apple corp. is literally “apple” or “ping guo,” written ??!
