This is a 5m/100 = 50,000 times better than statcounter for tracking visitor data. After a quick 1-day test on this blog, I’ll probably want to roll it out everywhere.

They seem to be down right now, a victim of their own popularity, as is usual whenever Google rolls out a large service. *rolls eyes* How can they keep their reputation if everything they build doesn’t scale?

If you’re on this list, don’t take offense. It takes a lot to become one of the web’s most hated bloggers. Probably you’re just a more famous A-lister with controversial opinions, a corporate mouthpiece, too popular, or rolling in too much cash. But for whatever reason, you create a polarized cult of personality.

1) Robert Scoble: He’s in Microsoft’s pocket and is often accused of taking the corporate line over a unique informed opinion. Also famous for pushing failed Microsoft technology, like the tablet PC. But somehow, even “hating scoble” is trendy, cool, and totally web 2.0.

2) Xiaxue: A pretty girl with a blogspot blog who wants a fan club and then creates one just for fun. She has a hate club too, but I’m sure she didn’t start it. If you read her blog, you see there’s not really much content to hate since everything she writes falls into the category of personal experience and opinion.

3) Darren Rowse: The world’s first six-figure blogger, everyone’s jealous. Really, for Darren, he’s not so much hated as envied. Everyone wants to be him, but no one can get their adsense figures above $20 a month. It drives people crazy, so they crash and burn.

4) Jason Kottke: Another “pro” blogger, but one who went flashily went pro in a blaze of publicity. We all wondered why he wanted us to give him money when he shunned traditional advertising. It’s not like he writes a lot, so I guess that makes every word more precious.

5) The IE Team: Whenever there’s a new decision about how IE will handle one standard or another, everyone gets in a huff. The fact is, Firefox isn’t always right! However, there are many people who think that IE shouldn’t support old broken markup, etc, which gives the IE team a hard time. The most hated browser probably should have one of the most hated development blogs!

I was lucky to get my luggage last night at 2 AM, so they woke me up and today I wore a suit to the interview. Hurray for looking the same! After Cisco interviews, did some light shopping, drove a friend home, and then finished up with Cisco stuff. Tomorrow I’m flying home… after that I hope I have nice day. Sigh… there’s potential for it to swing either way.
