Blog Top Sites

I’m currently #1 out of 15,205 blogs being tracked by BlogTopSites. I think it’s time to switch and / or add a more competitive blog tracker. I even have a 5k lead, which translates to about a 10% lead, on the next best guy:

I have been checking out your site for the last few days and am beginning to understand why you attract regular readership ...its all about content ..you have a healthy mix or knowledgable opinions mixed with the visuals ..

It's great and would score highly on any tracker

Kudos Elliott! I've been trailing you for a long time. Great fun. Maybe you might want to start focusing on the Technorati race. I am ranked around 620 there and have my eyes on attaining a Top 100 spot by next year. =D

Technorati is nice, but you can massively improve your rankings by generating links back to your site and ping'ing them ... I jumped 80,000 positions in my ranking the first week I had my blog up.

btw, big bug: I couldn't comment using FireFox, only IE

Can you be more specific. I'm receiving about fifty visits a day and want to increase that number to 100. Can you more specific about generating links? That seems rather interesting.

Generating links is like getting on digg... putting your content in front of the eyes of other bloggers that may want to post about it and link to your site. Don't get too excited about what Mr. Gonda said. Just a few links on technorati gets you from out of the sandbox, but it gets progressively harder to rank up. You won't be jumping 80,000 spots again.

For example, a top 100 blog on technorati has around 2300 unique links.

the best- man we need to start a list of the worst.

we can ignore all the web 2 blogs that try to copy tech crunch lets focus on like dudes with Mullets or something a theme a week!
