What’s interesting on the web today

Posted in Links by Elliott Back on May 5th, 2006.

Technorati’s added Xu Jinglei into their number one spot, with 46,000 links from 29,000 sources, even though Matt Mullenweg’s blog has 77,000 linking sites, showing the arbitrariness of their ranking system.

Technorati has a listing now for popular youtube videos, of which the Colbert Report’s encounter with our current president reigns top…

… which brings us to “They are made of meat.” This is quite possibly the best video on youtube I’ve ever seen. For example, a line of dialog reads: “They talk by flapping their meat at each other. They can even sing by squirting air through their meat.”

The Fm, Bb7/9, Cm7, C7/9, Dm7sus2, Am7, Gm7 progression of this Led Zeppelin Song’s chorus is breathtaking.

I always thought the awful recording engineering ruined that chorus bridge. It’s just ugly.
