TagsPage: Another million dollar idea
More in the spirit of Web 2.0 than the infamous Million Dollar Homepage, Tags Page offers webmasters a chance to promote their website by association with a textual tag. The SEO benefits are obvious, as you receive a high-quality backlink on a particular term. But, the site may also provide value to other users, as it serves as a for profit directory of sorts. Even just browsing its front page is interesting:

For those who aren’t interested in spending money for their site promotion, there are two ways to add your site for free:
- Add to their free tags list
- Write a review of the site from a high-profile blog
If you think it’s not for you, think again. The client list include Engadget, CSS Empire, Moo.fx, and Emily Chang. You can get 50% off by using coupon code “tagspage”!

[…] The Tags Page, and more about it here Alexa Ranking: 58,935 Back Story: Nobody with a heart wrenching story to share unfortunately. The people behind this are anonymous as far as I can tell. They have a tiered system with free tags on PR 6 pages and $x per characters in a PR 7 home page. And as you can see from the posted photo above, I am a proud resident of one of their free tag PR 6 pages for one year! Current Take: Hard to tell given the relatively complex tiered pricing approach and free pages thrown in […]

Too bad they are just faking their PageRank. Although they market with PageRank 7, they only have a pagerank of 0-4. This means that if you place a link on their website, you actually lower your own Pagerank.
So, better not add a tag, or you won’t just loose your money

do u know how they fake their pagerank?

I’ve checked you site, Phill.
It’s nice, but your page rank is still very low. You should do something to make it more popular.
Another problem is that it loads a bit to slow, and it’s not even close to being full of ads. You can imagine what will happen when it’s be full, if you don’t change something.
However, I really like the ideea.

I bought one tag on tagspage. But I’m a bit dubious about the effect it can make.SE certainly knows it has a lot of outbound links.
tagspage does have a Pagerank 6(not 7 as it claims).Don’t forget use a 50% down coupon(like ‘JohnTP’) if you wanna get a place on tagspage.
