Business Class Hosting Upgrade

Posted in Computers & Technology, Deals & Savings by Elliott Back on July 8th, 2005.

I recently upgraded to 1and1’s business hosting plan because I was using > 5GB of bandwidth per month, and the extra billing was becoming more expensive than paying for 50GB of bandwidth a month. It also comes with 3 free domains, 2GB of hosting space, cron jobs, 50 subdomains, 1GB of email, daily backup, and etc. If you want it too, help me out:

  1. I have been using 1and1 for about 2 years and I really like their value for my money. I run about 4 websites through them. Their databases do take about 10-30 minutes and email based tech questions can take forever (once it took several weeks). But overall I like them better than GoDaddy which is the other big shop here in the USA market.

  2. Thanks 1and1.

Your database creation is so slow, and you help desk so inempt that I am now regularly stealing your customers.

    I honestly appreciate it!!!!!!

NICE! Of course, the euro is a little stronger. According to Google, 39 Euros = 46.5855 U.S. dollars, which is 4.66 times what I’m paying now. But, since your site is all images, I’m sure you need it. I put up my own anti-hotlinking script to thwart bandwidth stealers, but it’s never enough…

Welcome to your german overlords – 1und1 is a german company. ;-)

We now suck at building cars – but we are excellent at hosting stuff. Rented servers are incredibly cheap here in Germany.

I am only paying 39 Euro for 300 GB traffic and 80 Gbyte webspace on Suse.
