Chitika Ads Flaky

Posted in Blogging, SEO, Search by Elliott Back on October 8th, 2005.

I just signed in to my Chitika console and read this:

October 8th 2005: 9:30AM US EST:
On October 7th and 8th our reporting system experienced an intermittent outage for a few hours. The problem has now been rectified. Due to this outage, you will notice that the stats for October 7th are missing. The stats for October 8th might also be slightly deflated. However, please be assured that we will make every effort to reprocess the stats, calculate and compensate for any lost revenue. We thank you for your patience and support while we iron out the reporting issues. Thank you.

Seems like Adsense, YPN, and just about any ad network is prone to failures and problems. Diversify! Use them all!

I am taking a big chance here everyone and jumping on the Chitika bandwagon. And in a big way.

After coming out of the highest Adsense earning month for one of my websites I have decided to give Chitika a try for one month. Over the weekend I removed all Google adsense from my site http://www.usedmac.ca and replaced the ads with Chitika ads only.

Let’s see if the gamble pays off.

  2. They are still in beta, and the lightning fast Chitika emails sure beats waiting 3 days for Adsense Customer Service to grace us with a “majestic” reply.
