I received this mail:

-----------------------------------------------
Dear Sir or Madam,

We are a domain name registration center in Hong Kong, mainly dealing with domain name registration and internet intellectual property rights protection. On Oct 20 2009 we received a formal application from a company who is applying to register several domains, using “jbgconsult ”as the keyword. After investigation,we find that you are the original user of the keyword. Such similar domain cases may involve your trademark and company name, and may cause website confusion and conflicts. For a responsible attitude, we inform you here and ask for your opinion. If you don't mind,we will finish registration for the third company.
Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Kind Regards,

I plan to ignore it. It is called scam and the the only thing they are up to is trying to sell useless domainnames.

I received the same kind of thing in my 'contact me' forms on my website, I emailed them back saying I do not agree in any way and do not think it is legally possible for another company to use my domain name and that if they were legitimate they would name the company.

I received another email saying they were intending to register in a number of different countries and if I did not lay claim to them by registering soon, they would approve the 'other companies' applications and began worrying/stressing to the max.

I emailed them back saying how I do not feel or think this is legally possible and I will be seeking legal advice regarding this matter and that I needed to have a link to their website, phone numbers and 'walk in' address of their office to prove that they themselves are a legitamate company.

I also asked whether it was absolutely necessary, how much it would cost if I chose to register with them etc.

I have not yet heard anything back from them.

Have now received a (cold) phone call from the Hong Kong Network Service Company suggesting that was about to be registered against about 10 country specific TLDs as well as the internet trademark. This site was one of the first hits to confirm that this was their phishing tactic.
