    your a ***!

  2. You Suck says:

I have never seen a more bullshit site ever **** you. *******

  3. Elliott Back says:

It’s just a link guys, and the point is that Firefox, or perhaps any browser, isn’t perfect.

  4. Firefox > IE says:

No piece of software perfect, true, but Firefox is still far superior to Internet Explorer.

  5. -.dam0 says:

its cockbiters like you who are against the open source movement, you better patch this blog and site or else its going down, and ill use firefox to help.

  6. Elliott Back says:

-.dam0, I love the Open Source movement. I think it’s great! You know, a link to a site that gives just a little criticism of Firefox (in its current state) is not an anti-firefox sentiment. In order to take advantage of the open source movement and improve future builds, criticism is necessary. Because of this guy I’ve linked, we’ll all get a better Firefox, eh?

  7. -.dam0 says:

hmm well with a site that says “It’s not a good idea to trust Firefox… ” and that is all about spreading ie, you sure seem concerned. if you really knew about the open source movement you would know that Microsoft is %110 against it. hence “MICROSOFT” internet explorer. if you said spread opera, or spread safari, then i would give praise. but spread ie? thats ant-opensource. so **** that!

  8. xXenXx says:

lol, you gotta love some of those comments.

Elliott, you post a link to a site complaining that Firefox can run unsigned plugins? So what? You can make your own in that case, which opens up to community development. And no matter what anyone says, Microsoft is entirely against open source, except maybe for the fact that they can steal various code from it (yes, its nothing new that MS steals code…).

Just a question, by why do you only bash Firefox? Why not Opera, Safari, Mozilla, Netscape, Morphius, Konqueror, or Epithany while your at it?

  9. Elliott Back says:

-.dam0, I feel that IE is undersupported today. I believe that Microsoft Internet Explorer is “good enough” for most of the users today, and hope that one day, Microsoft makes it even better. I await IE 7…

xXenXx, Microsoft is currently unsure of how to deal with this new “open source” idea. Some of its products are open source, others have a binary-only “open source” style license. Then again, in some press releases it blames the open source movement for destroying computer business. I’m sure in the future it will consolidate its opinions and take a stance with or against the model.

And the reason I focus on Firefox and IE is because they are the two largest contendors for the windows platform–my platform.

  10. Pascal says:

Well I get tired of paying an arm and a leg for buggy code when I can get that for free at sourceforge. At least with open source I can attempt to debug or customize it for myself, and if a fix actually works then I can upload it for other people to implement. If more people got into it, we could tell Microsoft what has been on the tip of our tongues for many years.
    Open Source *rules!*
(and no, that isn’t what’s on the tip of my tongue, but it will do).
    Peace

  11. TheMajor says:

Both FireFox and Internet Explorer suck.
    Go Opera!

  12. How can you say so without any argumentation ? What are your arguments for you critic at Firefox ? and that it is not trustable.?

  13. mtc says:

    This website is retarded.

  14. Anonymous says:

This website spreads **** and more ****. I think I once created something like this in a toitlet. Except at least I could flush the bullshit away.

  15. Anonymous says:

I also forgot to mention that this article is posted on msdn – yeah I am going to believe a write up from a microretard. Later.

  16. Goat Bloat says:

Why is it that every Firefox zealot posting comments here evidently has never worked on open source projects (or for that matter, apparently ever installed Linux), and can’t SPAEK TEH ENLGISHES without mangling words as simple as “the”?

Furthermore Opera is better than both Firefox and IE. Would post non-biased sources but there’s a flood of them so just consult the interwebs with some proper spelling.

  17. JJ says:

The biggest problem with the internet is that every idiot is able to write whatever they want. That’s ok until you realize that for every idiot there are 5 million more idiots who would believe what that one idiot said. Elliott, you are misinformation depot. Maybe you have no idea about explorer’s security hole. Maybe if you weren’t too ignoramus, you would do some reading before writing a B.S. like “Don’t trust Firefox.” I often refrain from insulting people, but in your case I’d have to say you’re a moron, and so is everyone who believes you.
