I’m in the SEATAC airport and the guy sitting next to me’s a programmar for Filemaker. He tells me, “File Maker 8 gives Oracle a real run for its money.” Take a look at the features: it seems rich, probably not that scalable or fast. I asked him if it supports SQL, and he says “it does, but not easily. A subset via ODBC and JDBC.” Seems like it has its own query language.
