GAIM 2.0 Beta Windows Port

The 2.0 port of GAIM for windows is very different, a little better, and a little worse. The first thing you’ll notice is that the account statuses have been permanently integrated into the main window:

If there were a way to slide these away or open them up when you wanted it, I’d be ok with the new window. Anyway, see this post for some download links.

Update:

Indeed, on a wide screen laptop like my own, the waste of vertical space is completely unacceptable!

    Agree. They should put those on the side rather than wasting vertical spaces.

    In Linux at least, the separator between the buddy list and the account statuses can be dragged so you can make the individual account boxes disappear.
