Go see the Incredibles
Go see the Incredibles. I went last night with Kelly, and I have to give it 5 stars. A Whole Lotta Nothing likes it, Meme First is confused, Waiting for Christmas thinks it’s “Five times better than Finding Nemo,” and Kelly liked it because it was a fast paced action flick. Go figure; Go see it!
The animation is excellent–imagine the fun they had animating superheroes. The premise is that superheroes in America are being persecuted for causing too much trouble–so a family of them tries to live a normal life. The untold premise is that that family of superheros isn’t perfect. A fat husband, insecure wife, overachieving son, and meek daughter have to get over their respective imperfections to actually save the day. But then, there are so many possible themes, including “working together” and “appreciating diversity” and “accepting who you are” that I can’t begin to rule one out over the other.
