Google Consolidates Account Login Information

Adwords Merges Accounts

Adwords is mergins your old adwords login with the standard Google login. Adsense has not switched over yet. Now I have adwords, gmail, and analytics all using the same log in information. Why is this a good thing? It lets you treat Google as a unified services provider.

  1. It’s a good thing, if you are using a gmail email address for these services.

However, I signed up to Adsense and Analytics using a non-gmail address. Now every time I check my gmail accounts, (I use Gmail Notifier for Firefox) and then go to log into Analytics or Adsense, I have to clear the cookie and type in my other email address and password.

It is about time that Google starts to unify all services and subdomains. I am sick and tired of the many different interfaces. Yahoo! always did a good (but also a bit boring) job of provding a familiar interface to all services.
