Interesting that they censor the rooftops and courtyards…

    this is pretty cool

mark buildings and they will appear again. People how really want to do some harm will not base their attack on google earth to my humble opinion. A tourist map and a guided tour might give them better information

Regarding the censored rooftops and etc, I am confident in assuming they now have machine gun positons on the rooftops, which they (and myself as well) would prefer remain unknown to a would-be attatcker. these emplacements are probably not visible from most publicly accessible areas, and as airspace is restricted over DC, anyone reconnoitering would look for alternative imagery. how do I know about them? well, i saw the TV on Sep 11 and 12, 2001, which showed ad-hoc sandbagged defensive and spotting positions in these areas. It stands to reason that more permanent emplacments have since been created, and I would rather the element of surprise remain on our (the USA and friends) side. Unfortunately, the ******** probably remember those dudes in black on the roof of the White House also. so thank you google for helping out and cooperating by blanking out those areas. Now the terrorists don’t know *exactly* where we put our hardened positions since then. Here’s hoping they walk straight into our enfillade. light ‘em up. ventilate ‘em.

This isn’t “interesting” it’s disgusting. If there is one building on the entire f-ing planet that shouldn’t be subjected to any kind of censorship, it would be the White House. But of course, the goons in the current administration are too busy using the constitution as toilet paper to be concerned with that concept. Shame on Google, by the way. “Don’t be evil” only applies some of the time, I suppose.

I doubt the views of the rooftops concerned are of any significant strategic value to anyone, and they are probably available elsewhere. Which is presumably why Google has reinstated them? I see (would-be ‘Ventilators’ like John, above, please note) there are no visible permanent gun emplacements on the current images of this location….Let the free world triumph by staying true to peaceful values, resorting only to defensive defence (as opposed to aggression) when absolutely necessary
