Google Trends for SEO

A quick look at Google’s new announced product, Google Trends, shows it’s clearly on the mark, with these results for our last few presidents (bush, kerry, clinton, lincoln):

Bush and Kerry were going strong until Kerry lost and bottomed out. Lincoln is constant, as predicted. Now, this tool can be used to decide blog topics, say Koda Kumi v.s. Ayumi Hamasaki:

From this you can gather that Ayumi is a more popular Japanese singer and may attract you more search engine traffic if you can rank well enough. Darren goes into this in more detail.

  3. Tends is interesting but you have not these are based on new related searches whichs might not always be the best traffic estimate.
