I woke up Sunday morning, July 1st, and said to my wife, “Hey, today’s the first. I have to give an iPod shuffle away today.”

“How many entries do you have?”

“Thousands,” I said. “Tens of thousands!”

“Oh,” she said. “Then it’s 13,155. That’s the winner.”

Interestingly, 13 + 15 -5 = 23, as from the other direction, 55 - 31 - 1 = 23. My fascination with the number 23 is well known, and to it I must attribute my luck in this contest.
