I thought you might be interested in a case of the exact opposite where a Real Estate MLS system actually defends data corruption and is removing critical home buying information from their public sites:

Home buyers in some Bay Area counties may be surprised to find out local Board of Realtors and Multiple Listing Services using Paragon software are actually removing data from the public portion of the MLS that helps borrowers purchase homes.  The Contra Costa and Alameda Multiple Listing Service announced on its members website on June 13th that they were removing the &quot;days on market field&quot; from the public MLS system. So, the next time you type a home search into your favorite on-line property search engine for those MLS areas using Paragon you will no longer know how long a property has been on the market!
