NeoCell’s Reversitall Plus Resveratrol Review
I saw something interesting at Costco today, called Reversitall, selling for about $20 a bottle. This product is brand new, according to a press release by NeoCell:
NeoCell Corporation will formally launch Reversitall Plus™ made from selected food grade ingredients including patent-pending Reversitall™ at this week’s Natural Products Expo West. Reversitall™ is the newest nutraceuticals ingredient, supported by Phase I of on-going clinical studies, scientifically proven to reduce cell oxidation, deliver higher anti-oxidant activities and reduce SOD (super-oxide dismutase) activities by 35%. Reversitall Plus™ is a unique blend of alcohol-free red wine, Muscadine grapes, grape cluster stems and grapevine extracts. Utilizing proprietary technology that allows the nutrients to remain intact, these combined components create a highly anti-oxidative supplement with naturally occurring Trans-Resveratrol, Trans-e-Viniferin, OPC’s and polyphenols, making it possible to obtain all of the benefits of red wine in a daily dietary supplement.

The big win is that in two tablespoons of Reversitall you can the same amount of Resveratrol as in an entire bottle of red wine, that is about 2,000 micrograms (mcg). For those not in the know, Resveratrol is identified as the primary anti-oxidant and anti-cancer ingredient in red wine, thought to be responsible for the so-called “French Paradox:”
Resveratrol is a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants when under attack by bacteria or fungi. Phytoalexins are antibacterial and anti-fungal chemicals produced by plants as a defense against infection by pathogens. Resveratrol has also been produced by chemical synthesis, and is sold as a nutritional supplement derived primarily from Japanese knotweed. A number of beneficial health effects, such as anti-cancer, antiviral, neuroprotective, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory effects have been reported, but all of these studies are “in-vitro” (test tube) or in yeast, worms, fruit flies, fish, mice, and rats. Resveratrol is found in the skin of red grapes and is a constituent of red wine but, based on extrapolation from animal trials, apparently not in sufficient amounts to explain the “French paradox” that the incidence of coronary heart disease is relatively low in southern France despite high dietary intake of saturated fats.
But, is it really good for you? According to QuackWatch, the notorious critic of “nutritional supplements” notes that “…studies in animals and humans are necessary to determine whether resveratrol supplementation makes sense.” Still, I think I’ll try the bottle. Any readers want to comment?

Read somewhere that resveratrol causes tendonitous
bought a case love the idea take it twice aday as directed. why does it have to taste so bad? have to fix it please.
The recommended dayly of 4 mcg a day seems very low. Most my reading recommend at least 15 mlg a day to be effective.
Watching the Barbara Walters special “Live to be 150″ the other evening she interviewed a researcher that mentioned that the Resveratrol the were experimenting with was equal to drinking 1000 bottles of wine. But it seemed that the resveratrol in this amount would instinctively go to areas of the body that needed help. Very Interesting. If you can watch that show they also mentioned that they are expecting FDA approval in the next 4-5 years.
contains sulfites & gave me a full blown yeast infection just like a strong antibiotic would.
Properly derived and within a balanced antioxidant network, infection should not be an issue. Antibiotics and infections are caused by free radicals and antioxidants fight free radical damage. I know of a proper supplement program backed by clinical studies (only one to do so) and approved by the BSCG-Banned Substances Control Group (only one to be endorsed by and used by the Olympics). We even have new technology that non-invasively and safely measures in the palm of your hand your antioxidant network at the cell level thereby establishing tru bio-available antioxidants that are scientifically tested at the proper levels for safety and effectiveness. Where can I purchase a bottle to try?
Tastes like ****! Don’t know if I can keep it up. Noni tastes better, maybe.
Am experiencing sleep difficulties after taking prescribed dosage.
Sleep onset difficulty as well as awaking too early.
From the published studies on longevity, extrapolated doses in the range of 300+ mg/d were required to demostrate benefits in the Sirts1 gene. This product contains less than 4 mg/d based on its dosing schedule.
Revgenetics.com sells resveratrol in bulk 99% powder, it is much more cost effective this way, as, you need substantially more than most recommend.
Keep in mind I am 25 years old 6′ 230 at 11% bodyfat.
I emulsified it (to increase bioavailability 4x) and take 1500mg a day before bed and I look better physically than I did when I was abusing anabolic steroids.
I also take megadoses of Alpha GPC (1200mg/day to increase endogenous GH production), CoQ10 (700mg/day) and ALCAR (1000mg/day). Add a multi-vitamin, Udo’s Choice Oil, and r-ALA if you have insulin sensitivity issues and bodyfat will melt off your body-you’ll never feel better.
being a male, what do you recommend for a female
similar to this post in using supplements….You sound like you know what you are talking about.
I am 50 and want to lose 20 pounds…
am researching resveratrol products but like the other suggestions that you made…
I need more info on product names and availability sources.
TY!!!
On YahooAnswers, there’s a discussion concerning Neocell’s Resveratrol does not cross the blood brain barrier. Some bloggers suggested that in order for it to enter the brain, one must pour a little alcohol in the bottle. Some insist only one spoonful of beer, another suggests vodka. If this won’t enter the brain alone, why purchase it, unless one adds tiny amounts of alcohol (not enough to get drunk from) to make it work. It’s worth the additional research, from my perspective, before actually trying it.
It tastes pretty good. Kind of like non-alcholic Burgundy wine. But at $18 a bottle, this is some expensive grape juice! Wikipedia says Resveratrol doesn't get past your stomach before breaking down so this stuff never gets into your blood. Its probably just a tasty placebo.
There are many resveratrol products on the market. Many making big claims they can't back up. On 08-08-08 a new product was introduced which has several patents protecting against companys that want to copy it. I have read nothing but outstanding testimonies from people who have used it. It is also covered by a 100% unconditional money back guarantee. This comes from the number one natural nutrition company in the US that has been around for 52 years. If you want results from any nutritional supplement you take that is natural, safe, and 100 percent guaranteed this is the company to get them from. This product was made with the direct support of Dr Sinclair who was seen on the Barbara Walters special that many of you saw and commented on. Dr Sinclair chose to work with this company because he knew of the high standards that the company continues to keep and has kept since 1956. If you want to know more you can contact me and I will help you get more information on it. No charge for info and no pressure to buy any product.
I’m interested in more information on the resveratrol you speak of. lm
I just tried Reversitall 2 days ago but woke up with a rash under my eyes yesterday and today it seems like it is spreading to my cheeks. ****…! Has anyone had any side effects? I can tolerate the taste, no biggie. BTW, I also took a Claritin D, so I don't know if it is the Claritin or the Reversitall. I did google the side effects for Claritin D but nowhere does it mention a rash developing of any sort. Advice, anyone?

I DO want to know more, so… as per your instructions, I am contacting you!
My husband and I have been taking this particular product for 3 months now. It is fantastic. I have so much energy and my husband's doctor told him this week that officially, based on all his lab work, he is no longer diabetic. It totally controls his blood sugar along with proper diet. And speaking of diet. I just do not have the desire to eat and I am losing weight with this product. Amazing
What brand do you and your husband use?
I would like to know the brand name of the product you are using as well.
In terms of its resveratrol content this product is a bit of a scam. The amount of the trans isomer, which is not disclosed at all with this product, needed to replicate the health benefits seen in the Harvard study is an order of magnitude greater than what a person can obtain if he drank the entire bottle of this product.
Since the Dr. Sinclair study was published in Nature a hoard of fly by night companies have sprung up selling resveratrol. One even makes his capsules in a rented house in Florida. Consumer Lab, an independent authority, tested the major brands and found many lacking in content and quality. The ones that passed their evaluation were Biotivia, Transmax and Bioforte. A product by Life Extension Co. failed miserably with only 26% of the claimed resveratrol. Another brand, Revatrol, had virtually no trans-resveratrol in its supplement. The ConsumerLab test results are available on their web site.
I would never recommend this product to anyone, i have some people complaining about it in my locality, therefore I would rather use any other product at equal or high rates!
60 Minutes last night touted resveratrol, saying the expectation was for a prescription pill to be available in five years. I had seen Reversitall at CostCo and went there today and bought a 25 oz bottle for $17.99. I am 71 already and do not wish to lose five more years of possibly major anti-aging benefits. The TV program said that the pill may work as a treatment as well as a preventative. The risks of negative side effects seem bearable to me.

2000 mcg per dose of Reversitrol only equals 2 mg of resveratrol. By most accounts, this is an extremely low dosage. As a comparison, resveretrol in an over the counter pill form is between 200 and 350 mg. In other words, you'd have to take more than a whole bottle of Reveristrol to equal just one pill.
so what's the product?
This product looks good for an antioxidant but i mainly have been using lemons as my antioxidant and it has been working out well enough…Maybe i'll try this one for fun
I would like to know more concerning this new product. Thanks
more information please - we're working on suppressing cancer - as well as total health…

The benefits of using Resveratrol all seem positive except for the weight loss one because that would be an issue for individuals who are already thin and do not wish to lose any weight at all. Perhaps there are other slim women out there who have tried Resveratrol and can help shed light on the weight loss issue? Thank you.
Im a Demonstrater at Costcos
I demo this wondervoll product…
Peopel like the taste and the help the get
from Reversitall.
Important to Note: Most research on resveratrol has been conducted on animals, not people.
Research in mice given resveratrol has indicated that the antioxidant might also help protect them from obesity and diabetes, both of which are strong risk factors for heart disease. However, those findings were reported only in mice, not in people. In addition, to get the same dose of resveratrol used in the mice studies, a person would have to consume 100 to 1,000 bottles of red wine a day.
