Ski Trip 2005!

Join the ISSO for a day of skiing, snowboarding or tubing at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Virgil, NY! SIGN UP AT THE ISSO Starting TUESDAY, February 8th at 9:00 am in the ISSO. We accept cash (exact change please!) or checks made payable to Cornell University. No credit card or bursar account charges!

TRIP INFORMATION:

Date: Saturday, February 26th
Time: 9:00am-5:00 pm

TRIP COST:

Adult “All Mountain Ski” package: $78
Junior “All Mountain Ski” package: $65 (for children ages 6-14)
“Learn to Ski” package: $40
“Learn to Snowboard” package: $45
“Tubing” (like sledding but on a round tire tube): $30 for a 3-hour lift pass

NOTES:

–Cost includes transportation, and ski lift and rental fees only. Bring extra money for food/drink. You can also bring your own food!
–The “Learn to Ski or Snowboard” packages include instruction but participants are limited to the Alpha Slope.
–Remember to dress warmly! For tips, see ISSO handout “Surviving Ithaca Winters” (available at www.isso.cornell.edu/students/winter.html )
–All children must be accompanied by an adult.
–If you are interested in bringing a child under 6 years of age, please see Adriana.
–Snowboards may also be rented at Greek Peak for an additional fee. (If you already know how to board and would prefer to do that instead of skiing, please see Adriana.)

ITINERARY:

Arrive at pick-up point ON TIME! The bus wont wait if youre late!

Pick-up Points:

9:00 a.m. – Corner of Cayuga/State St. (Commons)
9:15 a.m. – Hasbrouck Apts. Community Center
9:25 a.m. – Performing Arts Ctr. College Town
9:35 a.m. Maplewood Park Community Center

Arrive at Greek Peak around 10:15 am
Depart Greek Peak around 4:15 pm
Arrive in Ithaca around 5:00 pm

Drop-offs will be in reverse order of pick-ups

As upstate New York’s favorite ski resort for over 45 years, Greek Peak has 29 trails and a 952 ft. vertical.
