My latest anonymous hate mail comes from some php remailer script:

Well–you get the picture. I’m not sure why someone would bother to send me pages of the same two-letter invocative, but they didn’t even leave a name or number so I can give them public credit. I really want to credit them, but getting a subpoena is too much work for me.

So, why would someone send me hate mail of such a pointless nature? I can think of a few miscellaneous reasons:

• Because I run a site called spreadie.com
• Because they’re 13, immature, and can find my email address on this page
• Because they know me from school and detest me
• Because someone in my comments left something immature that ticked them off

Still, there’s no need to send one of these at 11 and another at 11:30. I got the “point” from the first one. Instead, why don’t you try the following suggestions for carrying out a proper flame war/crusade/jihad/purging/annhiliation:

• Spread out the cursing and swearing among a number of ridiculous but sound arguments
• Include as much personal information in your .sig as possible, including your home address, telephone number, and email (Although, I had a startup call me once because I ranted on them…)
• Send me a link to your own blog / website / webspace. If it totally sucks, I have more ammo!
• Definitely link to whatever it is on my site that pissed you off

If only everyone played by the rules….

My spammer is a script kiddie by the name of Rodrigo Droguett who runs www.codenamex.info, registered on the 13th of May, this year. His whois info is remarkably intact:

   Your right, he is 13 years old even tho I’m 14 and I don’t got a problem with that. I don’t know whats the point of sending an email really…I mean, If your going to go spam someone, You’ll obviously be reported If you continue because your IP does get logged If you put your headers to “Full”. Elliot, you can put your headers to “Full”, get his IP address, trace it to his ISP, and report spam to them.

   Well, there’s no proof that even the guy that runs that scripty server is the same person who used the tool to email me, and the tool obvious is a remailer that doesn’t preserve headers…
