Squidoo Lens Experiment
I just created a Squidoo Lens for my blog network, which has the advantage of throwing free links at me, and being fairly aesthetically pleasing, as well:
From an SEO perspective, this is a big win because they don’t use a no-follow meta tag or tag in the links, so pagerank will flow out to your site, and they have a 5 already, probably soon to increase. Currently I am sitting at a 6, but the more links the merrier. My thought on this is that it can’t hurt.
To rank well on the Squidoo home page, you need to be well-rated, which probably won’t happen for a while. It won’t let me kick myself off with a rating, so I’ll have to wait for some poor soul to come along and rate me, so that I’m not last of 500,000 different lenses.
