Now that the feed icon has been standardized, go get yours at http://feedicons.com/:

New Feed Icon
Dean, I know this is big on your tiny powerbook, so zip it!

If you want to help, go ahead and digg the “official” story.

I don’t get that comment directed toward me. Care to elaborate? And leave my PB out of this!

  2. Elliott Back says:

Last time I posted a large image, you showed me how much real estate it took up in your feedreader on the PB ;) I am apologizing in advance!

  3. Julie says:

Yeah, don’t abuse his gorgeous PB…besides, you can’t call it “tiny”, either.
Furthermore, you had no reason except pure vanity to make the image that freakin’ large. All the images provided by feedicon.com were no larger than 128×128 px. This one’s 450×450. :P

  4. Dean says:

She’s right on all accounts, you know. Large images are fine, but that was a little gratuitous. And you’re just jealous because my feed reader (on my *gorgeous* PB) is nicer than yours!

On another note, if any Safari users out there would like to switch from the little blue ‘RSS’ box, you can get an installer package for this standardized feed icon at http://macspecialist.org/

PS, you should be considerate to your visitors in other time zones. My comment was posted at 11:48a EST, thank you very much.

  6. Elliott Back says:

But Dean dear, I live in Phoenix–that means your comment was posted at 9:48 AM my time. And I made it 450×450 because that’s the maximum image width of this blog layout. I like to properly fill things up!

  7. Sounds like your OC is kicking in again.

Top tip. I’ve been trying to get a blue feed icon from all over the place. I want to buck the trend of orangeness everywhere.
