Because blog traffic follows some kind of power law distribution, you often see results like this in web ranking lists:

8,000 hits, 15,000 hits, and then 19,000 hits. Between my blog and the next most trafficked, there’s almost double the traffic. Strange that blogtopsites doesn’t list any of the 220 technology blogs in between mine and #3. In popular terms, we call this an insurmountable power gap.
