Top Paying Keywords
Cyberwire has a list of top paying search terms if you’re interested in building a for-adsense site. The top five are all about the same ailment and lawsuits:
mesothelioma $84.08
mesothelioma attorneys $80.93
mesothelioma lawyers $69.04
malignant pleural mesothelioma $55.95
Asbestos Cancer $54.17
mesothelioma symptoms $53.66
It’s amazing that people would pay this much for the same keywords year after year. It could also be a diversionary tactic to keep people from figuring out what the REAL high paying keywords are. I’ve found that Google estimates the following:
circuit city $11.30 $27.76
auto insurance $25.57
car insurance $16.99
Empty Nesters $12.97
aria giovanni $12.67
Insurance $12.70
DUI $11.41
travelocity $10.26
mortgage calculator $9.86
Sonos $9.00
Flagpole $6.41
But, I’m not a professional, so I have no systematic method of pricing these out.

What a joke…circuit city is spending a significant amount of their PPC budget on branded terms. I wonder who would be competing with them to drive the price up so high. Unless they are just paying that premium price to lock down that term…Regardless they can utilize the brand management guidelines set forth by the engines to ensure competitors do not use their trademarked name as a target key phrase. Mortgage terms are still on the rise, and we don’t expect their CPC to lower any time soon.
