iphonejtag with its hardware/software is the best bet on unlocking your phone if you know what your doing otherwise iphonesimfree software hack will probably work fine just have to find someone whose willing to help you though the steps.

At&t outbidding to keep this as only our phone. Maybe when the contract is up you will get the method but until then keep searching because it’s not coming

other data phones that have been unlocked have needed the extra step of redirecting data services to the new provider
this is obviously an extra step and annoyance, but if possible will yield the same services.
the current ‘activating’ hack also allows iTunes to work as usual, so it is definitely worth the effort.
