Web 2.0 Calendar Application

Posted in Computers & Technology by Elliott Back on November 1st, 2005.

If you’re looking for a snazzy AJAX calendar, check out my events on PLANZO. You can even get RSS feeds or add widgets to your website!

The ups? AJAX, mostly bug free, has web 2.0 features like RSS and blogability, allows reminders and SMS, and repeat events. Clean interface.

The downs? Some bugs, a little slow sometimes, no multi-day events, limited to 30 minute “blocks,” no community tagging, invitations, or meeting requests.

If you are a developer build your calendar using http://www.web2cal.com or http://www.dhtmlx.com scheduler. web2cal is easier to implement and has lot more features
