Wolfram Tones: Very very good
Check out Wolfram’s new tone generator, based around scientific patterns and music theory. It has a great AJAX interface, too.
When you’ve designed a tone, you can save it to your collection or send it around to friends with their handy permalink, which takes you to a page that looks like:
They charge a $2 fee for downloading the tones as cellphone ringtones, but their interface is fabulous. First they txt message you a confirmation code, which you enter into the form, and then they send you the ringtone URL and a confirmation charge message. Three messages, a minute, and you have a new Wolfram/Mathematica ringtone.
