WP-Plugins.org Dies A Silent Death
Guess what happens if I try to visit my subversion repository for wp-plugins.org right now:

That’s right, the domain registration has expired. It seems like they’re in the process of recovering the domain, because I can’t buy it, but right now it’s just an ugly, spammy landing page. It’s also the last time that I upload a new version of my plugin there–all plugins of mine will now be hosted in .zip files onsite. I really can’t trust wp-plugins.org to just do its job.

It’s back up again now. Craig Hartel, the owner of the domain, had thought that it was renewed, but there was a mixup with the hosting company. See the comment he left on my post about wp-plugins.org going down: http://blog.slaven.net.au/archives/2006/07/19/wp-pluginsorg-expired/#comment-17462
Seems that it’s all sorted now
I haven’t visited wp-plugins.org before and archive.org doesn’t give me any good results. I found the proofs in google cache:

Sorry, you were right
That’s not true–WP Plugins.net is an amateur’s attempt to collocate plugins, while WP Plugins.org was the wordpress team’s subversion repository for plugin developers.
There wasn’t anything.
The site location is http://wp-plugins.net/ and it’s working fine
More than anything else, a good reminder to sites to get it done right the first time, everytime. One bad experience can push people away forever.
