Zhang and Zhang
I was watching day 1 of the Torino winter olympics 2006, starting with the pairs figure skating short program, and I was highly impressed by the Chinese team Dan Zhang (??) & Hao Zhang (??). They were more daring and powerful than all the other pairs teams, I thought, and skated with technical perfection and passion. The danced and skated to an instrumental version of Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir, and go on to win the Silver in pairs:

Zhang Dan before the pairs event

Zhang Hao before the pairs event

Their first trick was a long lift and spin, often on just one hand

Their second major piece, a throw triple loop

Another random moment on the ice
It’s from beautifully rendered moments like this one, where the skaters intersection, that you fall in love with ? and ?. Read more at Wikipedia: Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao.
