Amazon.com PRIME
Amazon.com has entered into the difficult market of prime service. At $79 per year, they offer free two day shipping on all their products, upgrates to overnight shipping at $3.99 per item, and the ability to share the service with family members. Probably, though, they’ll end up making money from people who purchase the new plan, but don’t buy much from Amazon.

Yes, $79.00 was charged to my account as well! Without specifically reviewing the account, I would not have found. I only discovered this info by googling … the 1 800 number was not helpful.
PS I have experienced this with ProFlowers AND Newport News!
GIVE ME MY DAMN MONEY BACK YOU ********!
Prime service mistakely draw 79.99 US dollar from my account at 2-16-2008. Please draw back my money as soon as possble. I am looking foward to hearing from you.
WARNING!!! Drop this as fast as you can!!!!! If you are not satisfied they will prorate a refund. A lot of good that does as many shipping charges from 2nd party venders is NOT included. During the 6 months that this was active, I saved $8.97 which I did not need to spend as the normal free shipping would have been fine. This altogether cost $39.00 So much for customer satisfaction. I plan to cancel my credit card with them once the refund is completed and avoid Amazon when ever possible!
I can’t believe people are responding to this article about amazon.com prime shipping club and telling them to take the charges off of their accounts. don’t people realize that this is not amazon.com they are posting to?
how do you people manage to get up out of bed every day and get to work?

Hi, amazon charged me 79 $ without my permision, it’s simply stilling!
I want my money back.
This appears to be a case of very bad business practices on the part of Amazon. A once highly respected company now seems to have sold out to making easy money from, trusting and unsuspecting consumers like me.
Part of me would like to think that their management is unaware of what is going on, but after reading the many blogs all across the internet, I am convinced they have chosen to take the low road for the big buck.
I may take the dumb-a_s award here, but if I can prevent anyone else from being ripped off, then I will gladly suffer the ridicule that seems to follow the stories here (although the names of the character assassins are highly suspect).
After finding a $79 charge on my Am Exp card this month which stood out only because I paid off my card last month, I contacted Amazon to ask about the charge. 'Sean', the rep, explained that back in Aug. 2006, I purchased one paperback book from Amazon and signed up for their shipping club. They have no records of an email, or info on my Amazon account regarding such membership or the charges. This was a big red light for me…no records? Isn’t this a contract? I certainly had nothing in my records. No confirmation, nothing. However, Sean did mention that their email may have been routed to my junk mail folder (wow, was this their out?). Since I never ordered anything since, wouldn’t the $79 charge seem odd each year? Don’t they check their members to see if they are making money on us? Of course they do. They were making $79 a year in shipping from someone who hasn’t ordered anything in over two years from them!
Perhaps this means that we can no longer trust online businesses to do the right thing. If there is ever a class action suit, please include me. I would sure like a chance to recoup the last two years of membership charges he refused to refund as well as see those responsible take a big hit from consumers who are sick of being ripped off.
I would like my 80 dollars back on my card immediatly, this is not something i signed up for.
I was charged 79.00 on my credit card which I did not give autorization to do so, Please take it off now January 27.2009

You know, you should really contact Amazon to resolve your billing issues…
hi Amazon.com
I accidentally signed up for your Amazon.com Prime club or whatever it’s
called last year when my cousin had a two weeks vacation in the states. It
was a trial-membership and i never realized that you would eventually chage
me 79 US$. I only used your service once and will probably never again since
i live in Denmark (where the free shipment doesn’t apply) and have no
intensions of going to America anytime soon.
I know it must be some kind of mistake. I’m sure Amazon doesn’t evolve in
scams.
Please relieve me of this tax.

amazon.com chared me $79.00 from my account. I can’t believe that one of the biggest company in internet behave like that.. I have just purchase music CD with a speciall 2days free-shipping deal which Amazon offered to customer. I never authorized any contract.
Give me back my $79.00..
I just used amazon.com once in my life and that too my order got cancelled. Today after almost a month has passed that the order got cancelled but today I received a message from my bank that I have been charged $79. I have never authorized for any kind of such payments. I have called up my bank to look into this matter and I am highly disappointed with the wrong trade practices that amazon is doing. I want to take this matter forward in the court of law and want to dispute for the same. Please let me know how and what can I do???
