Facebook Error Sending Messages

Posted in Errors, Facebook by Elliott Back on August 25th, 2008.

I’ve been getting this error trying to send a message to friends on Facebook:

HTTP Error

Transport error (#302) while retrieving data from endpoint `/inbox/ajax/ajax.php’: Unknown HTTP error #302

Weird, I wonder what’s the problem.

I tried switching back to the old Facebook, but I still got the same error. The only way I found through this error was to type the person’s name in the search bar, and send them a message when I found them in the large list of people which appeared.

i started getting the same messages on facebook after it switched to the “new facebook”. I swtiched back to the old version, and all is okay now. I think its a facebook issue.

    • how do i switch back to the old facebook because i cant open any of my gifts and most of the games since yesterday . i have no idea whats going on with that but i wish facebook would leave things alone and left the old one there to start with . i keep getting that when i try to open the games or the gifts any help would be much . /ajax/ajax.php thats the message i keep seeinbg at the bottom of the page when i try to open stuff

  13. I seem to have the same issue, and ironically on the same day, so it must be a more widespread issue.

I am using Firefox 3 on Ubuntu v4.10 (Linux)

Facebook seems to be the only site to have this issue for me…. I was actually wondering if it has anything to do with my JAVA package, due to being an AJAX error….
