Google Blog Search: So so
The new Google Blogsearch is only so-so, I find. One good thing is that it will rank blogs by authority rather than posting date, unlike Technorati. It also provides RSS feeds of results, so you can subscribe to your favorite ego-search.
However, it lacks the frills of Technorati. No tagging, no related images, no stats about how many people are linking to an item, but just the plain list. It does try to give related topical blogs, but the listings are quite limited. However, the index is probably quite large:
Results 1-10 of about 13,262,714 for ‘the | a | or | and | but | not | e’
Wait until I get some sleep for a review, until then check out Blog Herald, Shelley Powers, BuzzMachine, or this random guy’s ego surf.
